Joshua Solomon

Josh brings 20+ years of hands-on leadership experience operating and scaling K–12 education programs across the U.S., spanning public, charter, and private school environments. He has opened and supported dozens of schools nationwide, worked directly with districts and state departments of education, and testified before state boards on program approval, accountability, and instructional delivery. His experience also includes years of service on private school executive boards and state and national school-choice advocacy on behalf of a major advocacy organization.

Josh spent 12 years at Connections Education, from 2006 through 2018, spanning its acquisition by Pearson in 2011. Reporting directly to the CFO and leading a team of 40, he was responsible for school finance, board relations, and school compliance across the entire Managed Public Schools portfolio. He played a key role in its nationwide expansion during his tenure and served as head of pricing for the full Pearson Online and Blended Schools portfolio.

Since leaving Connections Education, Josh has held leadership roles at several education companies, including serving as both Head of Finance and Head of Growth for one of the country’s largest virtual public education operators. His responsibilities spanned financial leadership, revenue growth, partnerships, and expansion. He also led a consultancy supporting EdTech companies, including startups, working directly with founders and executive teams and, in some engagements, their private equity and venture capital investors. His background combines finance, operations, and growth leadership with extensive experience in school governance, education policy, and multi-state regulatory requirements.
